A few Alaska shots from August

Having been to every state but Alaska, I finally made my way up there in August. A fantastically beautiful place in spite of the crappy weather during my trip. Still, I managed to take a few pics during the few short times when it wasn't raining.

Feedback always appreciated.

The first was taken on a flight around Denali. It is a glacier on (if memory serves) The Moose's Tooth.

Trumpeter Swans feeding in a lake north of Seward.

Crested Puffin at the Marine Center in Seward.

All taken with a 300D, all but the swans with a 28-135 IS, the swans with a 100-400 IS. The puffin was freehand and so was the Moose's Tooth as my fellow passengers were not too keen on me setting up my tripod on the plane (Sir, this part will just go between your legs and, miss, if you would mind sliding over a bit...)

Cheers,

Patrick

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"
