You have to LIKE the page in order to be able to reply to the posting.

I had a FB account with all the settings (I thought) correct, when it "shared" the phone numbers, addresses and other info of my friends from my address book with the world.

Wish everyone good luck, but no FB again for me.

maybe you didn't have the right settings. But I wouldn't put phone # or addresses on any of the "social networks"

Ron, typically you have to have added that page (SmugMug) to your favorites or liked it or something to be able to comment or like their post. If you see an "add to favorites" button at the top of the SmugMug page, then you haven't yet done that & probably won't be able to comment or hit "like" on a Smug post.
