I have been considering using a mailing list for high school Senior names, but I've never done that before.

I want to know if anyone has used them before and what was your thoughts, opinions, experience etc !!!

Most of my Seniors come around the spring so I do still have time to do this if I get on it ASAP. I try to get pictures going sooner, but very few Seniors around here do that.

I don't buy those mailing lists, etc.
I have been reaching out and getting senior reps who act as marketing people. It then becomes word of mouth/ referral.

Talk to the high school and see when they send out the senior photo info packet to the Juniors and what the cost is to get in.

    By me,
the bigger studios make a nice "donation" to the school.
But that is for senior yearbook stuff.
Many seniors are using their own photographer and the school's hired photog charges more.

    Strange how it all works.

I have actually tried that, but they just tell me that they won't give out that information. My daughter was a Senior last year and got at least two photographers brochures in the mail. When I asked the school, they said they had no idea how they got her name.

My daughter was in yearbook and I took out full page ads for the 4 years that she was in it ... and I took out full pages in the school newspaper as well. Got a few people from that... maybe 20 total.

I have used Senior reps the last few years, but I just wanted to see if anyone out there did use the mailing lists to see what they thought. I was late getting my Senior reps this year .. surgery over the summer and recoup time kinda cost me time to deal with Senior reps.
