This is a 1939 Cadillac 75 Series Fleetwood Convertible. The stylized grill, headlights, and many interior design appointments contributed to this car being considered the pinnacle of bold, American art-deco influence in automotive design. This very car was featured in the company's Fleetwood brochure in 1939 where it was presented in this striking combo of Kingston gray over green leather.
This car is one of only 27 produced and is one of the five that are known to exist today. It was originally delivered to a buyer in Seattle. In 1990, it was " discovered " again in a museum in Vancouver. It was purchased at that time and put into an exhaustive 3 year restoration program.... resulting in the absolutely pristine auto you see here. This car rides on a prodigious 141 inch wheelbase that is shared only with the company's monstrously powered V-16 models of the day.
As opposed to many cars of this caliber, this one is driven on a regular basis....no trailer queen for this owner.

I always wanted to lie naked on a bearskin rug in front of a fireplace. Cracker Barrel didn't take kindly to it.

Thanks for the kind words, Jiro. I think you'll find that shooting cars is kind of my " trademark ". We're coming into the season of significant car shows ( at least in the South ) and you'll soon see a whole slew of these type shots.
Take care brother,
Tom
Not real hard to love this ride, is it Neil? If you're a good boy, maybe I'll send it over for your birthday. :D
Thanks for your support,
Tom
That's a deal!!!!!!!
(I'll just move my birthday forward about 10 months!)

Nice to see those honeys out in the open.
For me its always a joy to catch a glimpse of various fine works driving over the roads here and there.
Then theres the stuff thats still airworthy and flown. Love those babies too.
Especially the purr and revs of those engines thrumming deeply out their songs over the roads and in the air.
I'll probably never get the smell of tons of spent fuel and dust out of my nose either. But I'm good with that.
Yep, my ICBMs are a-pointin direct at Dogdots via Bark&WagPixels North Dogota the great US of A! They're comin', mark my words!... they're comin...(Where did I put the bloody manual!?!?!?!)

Maybe I can round up a second one of these things for you. Old Neil sounds pretty serious with his threats.
Take care,
Tom
Thank you, buddy, for the kind words.
Tom
I'm with you, Michael. The old iron just brings out emotions that the newer stuff just can't do.
Take care,
Tom
