OK, I know I am practically alone in liking this stuff, but I particularly like this one. My only question was whether to leave the color or go to blk and white.

And I wanted to share in case someone else would like it. I had a few that were clear, but I thought this expressed the scene, the light, the birds, better.

I thought for a minute I had my glasses off. rolleyes1.gif:D I am kind of liking it also Ginger. Sure...we usually like highly detailed sharp focused images...but every now and then a blurred/action shot works to capture a feeling/mood. Interesting shot. Nice. thumb.gif

On a side note. I've not captured any birds in days and days. WHere are all my backyard birds? ne_nau.gifne_nau.gifne_nau.gifheadscratch.gif

    Who TOOK THEM? :uhoh

    Give 'em BACK.......NOW!!!!

Birdman, remember mine were gone for awhile. Now, granted I have not been to the same places and maybe with the empty nest syndrome, they are all out playing bingo and eating good stuff.
I am just happening to catch a few eating.

Maybe "someone" keeps taking them, they escape, come back, then get "taken" again.

Where is that person who takes them???? Out gathering? Birds? Ours?

Ginger, you're not alone. I absolutely love this shot, especially the way you matted it.

What percentages are you using for:
    Left/top/right?
    Bottom?

(I don't have my pixel ruler handy :-P)

    Still, I love the shot.

    Thanks, Scott, but very fast,

The Kelby book says to add one inch all the way around, then to add one more inch just at the bottom (click on the arrow thing til only arrows at top, for bottom, no sense there).

It never seems like an inch and sometimes it seems to add more than others, but that is the recipe I am using. He seems to deal in inches, I am used to dealing in percentages, like you. But for his recipes, I do the inches.

I like it Ginger. I'm one who loves abstracts and other "art"y stuff. I can see the sandpipers in it and the ocean so it's just abstract enough to make you look a little longer. Very kewel. thumb.gif

    Thanks, Snappy,

I appreciate it, glad to remember that like the arty stuff.

I just like these little birds, the way they go in and out of the surf, this

kind of did it for me. I am glad it did it for you, too.:):
