Broken site images - do you see them too?

My site http://rodephoto.com has tons of broken images. The front page is slow but does seem to load. Gallerias are AWFUL. Useless is more like it.

Here's what I'm seeing from several locations, computers and browsers. Slowwwww loading images and thumbnails. 10-20% load right away, 20-30% load after 8-10 seconds and 20-30% never seem to load. The default (first) image often fails to load or I only get the top 5-10% of the image and it stops. Clicking may or may not load a full image, choosing another size may or may not load a full image.

I'm in the mid-west. Maybe this is a local thing? I'd appreciate anyone taking a peek and letting me know if you are seeing the same slowness and broken images.

I'm frustrated to the point that I'm about to move to another site.

Hi, it's because your custom domain isn't set up properly. We tried like heck to reach you about changes we make over a year ago. Here's all the details, it's very self-explanatory but if you need assistance, just write our Support Heroes and we'll be there for you 365 days a year! http://www.dgrin.com/showthread.php?t=141333

I see major problems from here too to your homepage and galleries, so it's not just your 'net connection.

I don't see the same issue on my Smugmug site or galleries http://jfriend.smugmug.com) so it's not a Smugmug-wide problem either. If nobody from Smugmug responds quickly here, then I'd suggest you contact the help desk and have them look into it.

    And already fixed - :D

Hi Dan - your CNAME was not entered correctly in your control panel, and this was causing some major issues as our servers worked overtime to serve up your images through your domain - I've rectified the error and you should find your site turbo charged and good-to-go!

Here when you need us -

So the pictures were bypassing Akamai and hitting smugmug directly?

I appreciate the help. I don't recall anyone trying to reach me at any time about my site. I just reviewed every email from SmugMug since I setup the domain in October 2009. Nothing... Maybe it got marked as spam.

Also, why did it just start getting bad in the last month or so? Seems like it should have been broken for longer.

    Regardless, THANK YOU!

With everything we do, we try to accommodate for as long as possible. We just changed things up recently, internally and that's why you saw the slowdown.

I really wanted to complain and yell and bitch but you guys are so damn helpful, I just ended up relieved and kinda happy :)

I work for a smaller "Internet" company. We're like a big family and folks really care about our customers and what we're doing for them. I always get that same feeling when I talk to someone from SmugMug.
