Night Ice on Toadstool

Well I had a look in the garden late last night (seeing where the cat might be, as he hadn't been fed since tea-time) and I spotted a toadstool on the old bird table.

Took the camera outside and a torch, and using the outside security light (quite a war colour) and the LED bulbed torch (quite a cool colour) I combined both to illuminate the little toadstool. I say little because it is less than half an inch across.

Focus pint is the front of the gills where the ice was beginning to form (and no, I don't plan to get up early to see if it has more ice on in the morning!)

This is a single image, no stacking done, tripod mounted with Hahnel cable release and 2 extension tubes.

Anyway here you go, the first outdoor macro I have done in 2011.

C&C as always.
