Sun sets over Marblehead

Went out looking for shots after another storm dumped a 1/2 foot of snow. Winds were crazy and they created some cool drifts in the dry, powdery snow. Got two images I was pleased with but would greatly appreciate your thoughts on them.

I like #1 a lot, #2 is not as strong due in part to the lack of color in the foreground and no sun. Atleast to my eye Overall nice job and solid exposure!

I like #1 the best. Nice foreground elements and great light. Maybe it's my monitor but it seems to have a little green cast in the sky.

Really appreciate the comments/critiques. Was wondering if this one just didn't hit the right notes. As horrible as conditions were at the time (wind chill of -10 I think), I needed to come away with at least one decent frame)

#1 is my fave. It is a much stronger composition and the play of light and shadows is great. A little (very little) dodging and burning on the foreground and slight saturation boost would really make this jump off of the page.

Thanks Travis. This was one of a 3 shot bracket (the 0 EV one) with a +1 EV boost to the snow in the foreground. I'll see if I can push it a bit more...
As for the saturation, the sky was turning a fake orange with any more saturation/vibrance tweaks. I actually desaturated the snow by -20 in LR3 to get rid of the blue tint.

I like #1 also as it is stronger due to the sun.
#1 May benefit from a crop similar to #2.

More snow today - time to go out again.
