Rain dance with Mary...

Mary needed some photos right away. We ended up shooting on a dark 35 degree day in the rain. We tucked up under a bridge to stay dry and gave er a go.
I know the first one is tilted and the second one is warmer .

Isn't that silhouette fun....i processed it 10 different ways....and ended up with silhouette. I like how it looks like she is flying through the trees.

Nice series. 26 & 27 really jump out of the pack for me. 35 degrees and bare feet on damp pavement... Brrr.... Dancers are tough...

I love how you incorporated the line of the road. It helps make the figure of the dancer snap like a whip. In #2 it looks like she is being sucked into some kind of vortex!

Great set, you should be taking promo photos for those dancing shows (so you think you can dance, etc). You did a great job at capturing her at just the right moments.

Yes dancers are tough, they must have really tough feet.
Shooting dancers is a lot of fun, I encourage everyone to give it a try.

Overall a very nice set. I really like #27, #34 ( silhouette ), and #37 with the bundled up pedestrians. My only nit is that chainlink fence in the background in some of them kept pulling my eye away. And on #34, leave the yellow on the road striping but lose it on that background object on the right side of the tree (distracting).

Man, that's one tough girl to be doing those high jumps in barefeet on asphalt in the winter. Really good action shots.

Yeah those dancers are tough, on a few of the shots the light was only about 4 feet away and there are mud spatters from their feet all over my softbox haha.
By the way her favorite was the silhouette shot....which I am being honest was a shot where the flash did not go off....funny how things work out.
