Can't use 'Apply Color Effect'

I can't use the 'Apply Color Effect' under Tools to auto-color correct. Rather than the different color variations, all I get are blue boxes with question marks. When I click on the box, it gives me an error message saying I don't have permission to edit the photo.

I tried clearing my cache but to no avail. Can you help? Thanks!

Also, if you can answer another question - is there a way to completely disable any Facebook link so I don't accidentally sign in to Facebook? I'm suspicious of Facebook having any access to my photo library.

What photo, exactly please?

Facebook wouldn't and doesn't have any access to your photo library.

You can just say 'no thanks' here if you like though:

Actually, I can't use the 'Apply Color Effect' in any of my galleries, public or password-protected. It sounds like it should be a cache thing, but I've cleared it several times, and reset Safari, and still cannot use it. (I use a MAC).

Any help would be appreciated!
