Setting Photo Prices

OK I am getting irritated lol. I keep setting the prices I want on just the items I want to offer. But when I go to the Visitor View and select to buy a photo ALL the options keep coming up. Of course the items I haven't set prices for are coming up for sale at the cost. grrrr

I am using a custom pricing on filled in items

If you don't want to sell an item, you need to set the price for that item to 0 (zero). Are you setting them to zero or just leaving the price blank? A blank price makes the item available at cost.

From the help page at http://www.smugmug.com/help/print-pricing:

If there is a product which, in general, you would not like available for purchase... enter a 0 (zero).

I have to do that for all 350+ items??? Seems there should be an easier way

If you're only pricing a few items, how about setting all prices to $0 (custom pricing) then manually price the items you want to sell.

If you have already set prices for some. There is a bulk change at the top. Select "empty" and set to 0.

OK, looks like that worked fine. Thanks. I had no clue I needed to set all the fields to 0

Here is a tip for the future: create some pricing templates. I have a few sets of specific pricing that most of my stuff is based on. I create unlisted galleries and set the default prices in them, then when I create a new gallery I can set pricing based on my templates. Makes it really easy to make sure I have consistent pricing between galleries.

Maybe there is a better way to do what I described, but it works for me so I don't run into the issues you described.
