Very nice, Virginia - Love the juxtaposition of the poster and the girl's expression. My first thought was 'lose the newspaper,' but my first thought is often wrong rolleyes1.gif, and it definitely was this time, as the paper tells us where we are riding the subway.

    Thanks for commenting BD.

Losing the newspaper was my first, second and third thought. I think the picture would stand without it and arguably be stronger. In the end, I decided to keep it - not just because it tells us where we are but because it amuses me that the headline could well elicit the looks we see from the two young riders - though of course it didn't.

I like the way the angle of the heads works with the shape of the pole, and the eye peeping through it from the poster. Usually, the poles just get in the way. thumb.gif

    Wonderful Virginia,
I want to go on and on about why I like it, but it just works.

I like the "trident" splitting the two riders and the poster.

This is totally awesome. BW tones and processing here is really supreme in that classic street car sense. I rarely get my bw tones so perfect, so I really commend you on that!

I am by no means any expert but I don't think the Paper matters. I go by what my eyes are drawn to first I think the shot would be equally good with our without the paper. JMHO

I like the context added by the presence of the newspaper. Great shot with lovely conversion.
