? Egret

Hi there, I am definately not a bird expert. I am sure this is an egret, but if anyone can tell me if it is a certain type I would appreciate it. This was taken along the American River near Sacramento CA. Thanks for looking !!!

It would be a Great Egret. also along the American river you will see Snowy Egret much smaller with black legs and yellow feet.
