Hi everybody
I just changed the Nicenames of two of my galleries but once I log out none of the two shows the new nicename in the Url
1 http://www.imaginevenice.com/Photography/Venice/13995786_akBDt#1036123493_ttuAU
The nicename I assigned to this one is: Venice-Color-Photos-Gallery and the nicename preview in Settings is http://www.imaginevenice.com/Photography/Venice-Color-Photos-Gallery/13995786_akBDt/

2 http://www.imaginevenice.com/Photography/Black-and-White-Images-Gallery/14042345_j37oU#1036207309_AFHSf
The nicename I assigned to this one is: Venice-BW-Photos-Gallery and the nicename preview in Settings is http://www.imaginevenice.com/Photography/Venice-BW-Photos-Gallery/14042345_j37oU/

I am still not very well aware of meaning and goal of nicenames, can somebody give me a dummy-proof explanation about them? :scratch

Thanks

If you want the nicenames to show, then you have to fix your navbar to include the links with the nicenames in them. You have older links in your navbar that override the nicenames when navigating from the navbar.

Nicenames just give you an ability to control some of the text in the link for a gallery for either nicer cosmetics in the link or slightly better SEO if the words you put in the link are more relevant. They don't change the function of your site other than that.

Always include a link to your site when posting a question
