Florida 2011

So we just got back from our trip to Florida for my Mum's surprise 70th, and we spent a day at the beach. We went to Siesta Key, which is in Sarasota, Florida, one of the top 10 beaches in the world (at least it was a few years back). The weather was gorgeous, partly cloudy (you have to love that natural diffused light), about 70 - 75 degrees Fahrenheit, and the water temp was about 58 degrees Fahrenheit.

We played on the beach for a few hours and got to take a lot of shot. My wife picked up the camera and took some also, but her lack of knowledge and her refusal to listen to ANYTHING I want to teach her about camera operations and focus had a couple really nice shots out of focus, so I'm sorry about that.

Anyhow, we had a nice vaca, and are now back in Montréal and back to the grind. I just thought I'd share some of our beach shots.

Ok, so I can't decide which of the two last photos I like the best. I am leaning towards the second one. Any thoughts?

Hope you enjoy!

Beautiful shots. Very dreamy. I feel like I'm part of the kids world! Of the last two I like 12. My other favorites are 5, 7 & 10.

Thanks guys! The lighting outside was kind of partly cloudy and a little overcast, so it lent to some very nice lighting.

Thanks also for the PP comments. The post was very simple and I tried to keep it to a minimum on this shoot. All I did was adjust the exposure a little, increased the contrast and vibrancy. I added a glamour glow, just a bit and also sharpened the image. And voila!

Oh, and yes, the second one is the one I like the best also. I like the feet in the first, but overall, I prefer the second one.
