Thanks for viewing, Natalie. From a fellow Ansel fan.

I really like this comp, but because our eyes are drawn to contrast first (and in a monotone image, bright color(s) would definitely qualify as contrast), I would sure consider this image a very good candidate for B&W treatment. That red book cover/spine draws my eye like a magnet away from the intended subject.
YMMV...
Thanks, Eia. I'm glad you like this. Thanks for viewing.

Randy, thanks as always for viewing my posts and commenting. I'll convert this to b&w later and I'll see what I can come up with. Thanks a lot, brother.

For me this is much better
I know that you like selective color, and what really counts ~ is what the photographers image goals are ~ but I think that in B&W form, your comp is strong enough given your use of the rule of thirds, to draw the eyes to the glasses without the coloration.
Again, YMMV...
I certainly applaud you for all your experimentation

Thanks for viewing and for the warm comment, Gary. your egret series are really great!

Well, it still does get some attention to it so it's either in full color or no red at all. But I like your idea. If I may say, I kinda like that small hint of red tint on the eyeglass lens alone. I'll be making a full b&w version later. Thanks for the comment, Nihilation.

Thank you! I am really glad you saw it in the same way I do. Thanks!

Thank you very much, Tom. I wish I could buy some SB speedlites right now but it's out of the budget. Here is my setup for this one. It's simple, but I'm really learning a lot with regards to lighting setup here. I always appreciate your warm comment and suggestion on my work, Tom. Thank you very much again.
