Just some flowers. Have not seen my "backyard birds" in over a week. I was getting tired of taking shots of my "mug" for the Dgrin challenge....so I had to shoot something. icon10.gif Frangipanis and orchids.

Can anyone ID this flower? I ventured out of the yard to the neighbors for excitement.

    Excellent shots Mike. thumb.gif

You have been shooting yourself and flowers. I'll try to have an emergency shipment of birds rushed to your backyard ASAP. mwink.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks Ginger. Sorry to see your self portrait didn't make the finals. I really thought that was excellent and VERY worthy of entry.thumb.gif (raw..stripped...full of emotions....well done).

Thanks, Birdman, it was difficult for me to look at, and I was not upset re the finals this time. I did think that it was the beginning of a wave of excellent entries, besides yours that was already there. Many good ones. Some made it, some didn't.

Congrats on making the finals. I saw your bird with the cell on the current ideas for an entry. Were you saying that the bird was not really on the cell?

I was going to point out that you have been w/o birds, so that might have been taken before the allowed time. Love the photo!

Hey Ginger...thnks. I was just being a goof with the egret on the tele shot. rolleyes1.gif Photoshop IS NOT allowed this time. Obviously...I didn't hand the bird a phone. It was just for fun....and a visual reminder to leave the photoshop closed. :uhoh Yes...it was an older shot of the snowy. I posted the original a while back (in here).

Very Nice shots Mike. I really like the soft center on that second one! thumb.gif Kind of sounds like a candy commercial headscratch.gif, but I think the softer center really fits the pic!

Thanks folks. I appreciate the comments and you taking the time to check out the pics. Thanks also on the ID. The neighbor had it potted. It's a pretty cool looking flower.
