Gitzos new Ocean Traveler?

After looking at their wordless promo video I was wondering
what the point of Gitzos new Ocean Traveler tripod series is
(besides chargeing extra extra high prices for it)?

It seems to me that simply unscrewing the legs and rinsing
off the parts after a day's shoot with a normal tripod would
work just as well, only cheaper, or not?

Stainless steel is great protection, but heavier than aluminum. If I shot with tripod immersed in salt water, I would use it,. Washing off salt water resideue is very helpful, but if you delay until you get back to a shower or hose hours later, some corrosion is ultimately inevitable.Stan
