What would YOU rent? - BBall
Possible basketball game that I'll need to get GOOD shots for, no question. It's big enough, that I'll do a lens rental if needed - NIKON. I've the 70-200 2.8, but might need more reach on a fullframe.

Floor, but might be over on the sideline. I've the 24-70 as well, but there's some focal distortion - I DO prefer primes when I can
Assuming you have floor access, then from the baseline:
1) 24-70 2.8 on the edge of the key
2) 70-200 2.8 roughly where the 3-point line intersects with the baseline
Those work well for me with a 1D4. Adjust position as needed for FF.

Do you ever find that the 70mm gets you too close when action is on 'your end' of the court? I've the D200 as a backup, but never used it for indoor sports, but I can see sticking the something wide on that (not the 50, since that's close to the 70 on a fullframe, but perhaps a 35mm on the cropped d200, just not sure it'd be good enough quality).
thanks!
