This theme is gonna be subject to a wide variation in interpretation. I took a a few shots today that I think are both unique and ordinary, so you can tell I'm confused by it. I'll ask for your opinion on the shots for the category, and think of a title later...

#1 is very beautiful, but I like #3 for this challenge. It's a little more interesting to me and a gorgeous shot of an ordinary scene. All very nicely done.

#3 draws my eye through the picture more than the others and I can feel the breeze.

I like the bright color of the flag in #2 and the lines of the trees. It holds my attention, asks my eyes to explore.

#1 doesn't do as much for me.

I favor #2. Ask me tomorrow and I might change my mind. Very nice work!

Nice stuff -- it's been many many many years since I was on Nantucket, but I have fond memories.

All three of these are HDR, right? If so, what software did you use?

Yes. They're HDR-processed. My new fave way is to use CS5 to merge the files, especially when there is ghosting like there was in this windy scene, but then bring the HDR file into Photomatix for tonemapping.

A method that has me in a little bit of a DSS quandry since, when you save the PS CS5 file has a radiance file, it seems to strip the EXIF data out.

    But I'll figure that out.

Love them all! I would have to say that 2 and 3 made me look the longest. Lovely area!
