Bison in Florida?

Yes there are! Well, at least there are some at Paynes Prairie Preserve state park.. I've had a smugmug account for years but just found the forum, so I hope no one minds if I jump right in. I'm very much an amateur, just got my first DSLR camera a few days ago. Before that I just had cheap point and shoots.
So, hows this for beginners luck? We've been to Payne's Prairie many times and have never seen the bison. First time out with my new camera that I don't know how to use and we finally see them.
Unfortunately it was middle of the afternoon, very bright sun and of course doesn't help that I don't know how to use my camera. BUT, still thought it was worth sharing since it's not that often you see bison in Florida.

It may be of interest to you that there have been suggested plans to remove most of the bison from Paynes Prairie Preserve State Park. See this news article: http://www.gainesville.com/article/20100917/ARTICLES/100919470
