AWB or Flash

I don't usually do a lot of night photography but last night I covered the Monte Carlo Historique which has a check point in our area. I used the AWB on my 7D and 580 flash. I never gave it a thought but should I have changed the AWB to Flash for better results.

All the flash WB does is warm up the photo normally from the AWB, sometimes AWB gets it right.
I normally don't like that warm look.
If you should decide you want the photos you took warmer, it very easy to change in post.

A lot of night photography can be done in tungsten, since much of the lighting at night is tungsten incandescent, Bob. You can gel your flash with a 1/4 or 1/2 CTO gel so it will match the tungsten lighting better as well.
