Not sure if smoke shots fit in Macro, but they are pretty much 1:1.
Its been so cold and crappy lately, I decided to start playing with some photography indoors. I have been wanting to do some shots of smoke for awhile, and finally got the time last night.

Lord V, Thanks, I like the inverted to white backgrounds also. I think it gives it more of an artsy look, but thats just me.
The flash was directly right of the smoke, and I used some black foamcore rubberbanded to the sides of the flash, kind of like barn doors. This kept light off the black foamcore background.

Thanks Jason for the info - did wonder how important trying to get a narrow flash beam was.
