First time post on the challenge and thought I'd give this a try, please let me know why you think and if this fits the theme.

This 'tree' can be defined as ordinary as it is just a tree or unique because it's a tree from the James Bay Lowlands. These trees grow in the swamp lands and can be over hundreds of years old. I took this during a trip to Attawapiskat and Fort Albany this week.

Which one do you prefer, landscape or portrait?

Very nice! I think I like the landscape -- the sense of isolation says "unique" in that sense.

I'd love to see a bigger version. Do you have a link to the full-size?

I really like this landscaped version better for the same reasons that BBJ noted.
I also like the processing to pop it as HiKey. I think the dark contrasts of the 'grasses' and then the distant tree line are gorgeous. Very nice!!!

Thanks for the comments, I don't have a 'larger' one at the moment, as I just did a quick PP on this for the 'idea'... but I'll play with the landscape a little more... my pick so far :)
