Snapped this snowy egret with thunder clouds overhead. The rain came in a minute...and that was the end of the shoot. :dunno Finally....a "backyard bird". :thumb First one I've shot in over a week...it seems. :scratch Harry....is this one you sent? Couldn't have sent something that was into posing or flying in a straight line..could ya? :rofl Well..at least you don't have to worry about blue skies in the shot. :uhoh

Yeah I heard your having a bird drought so I sent him back to ya. I also know how you feel about blue :lol so I told him not to take any blue with him. Glad to see somethings pay attention to me :lol4

Nice ones Mike with or without blue, hope you get out soon. thumb.gif

Bird man, did you "shoot" him down with pellets? That landing bird looks in pretty bad shape.

Ben, did you send him a bird that needed a new coat, a bath, and some feathers? Was the "flight" insured?

(coming up to the roof, he looks fine!)

That may be blur, but it is a disorganized blur. Maybe the strange winds down in that part of the world.

Is there flash involved? Why is it so "black" before the rain? (I am supposed to send my camera in to get my flash fixed. I am thinking of waiting til after the birds migrate.

    Hey Mike,

I'm glad that bird made it over to your place. :D Even better you didn't have to deal with the sky. We know about your problems with blue. rolleyes1.gif

The first shot is excellent. thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Thanks folks. Glad I saw this one out the kitchen window. :D I shot a few more tonight. I'll get them up after I do a little PP on them. The neighbor was feeding them from he 2nd floor balcony. There were actually a handful of night herons and snowy egrets.

Ginger, No flash..just highish ISO 400 and dim light. That black backgound is the inside of the neighbors screened in porch..across the canal. It was pretty dark in there ..combined with the poor outdoor light...made it pretty black looking. I could have probably shot it with a Nikon and made it blue. :D

    Happy shooting

Here is one more from the above shoot. Not thrilled with it..grainy..blurry..yucky background...but I just can't stop firing away sometimes. :uhoh
