Base jump and free solo highline

Carrying a backpack full of camera gear on hikes sometimes pays off!

I found this highline set up, with nobody around, up on Smith Rock's Monkey Face and decided to hang around to see what would happen.

v 1. Warming up




v 2. Now with no safety line, while the girlfriend base jumps!




v 3. ...




v 4. ...




v 5. Chute safely deployed and a quick stealthy landing.



v 6. Back on the highline, some tense moments.



v 7. But finally the last crossing is made safely.
