I like this peaceful moment you captured w/ the little boy listening to the man as he fishes. I also really like the little detail of the swinging leg on the boy, it's such a kid thing to do.

    Liz-
Thanks for the kind words.... I'm building courage to try and be better with these shots, but it's tough. I have all the admiration in the world for those of you who seem to do this with such ease.

fyi--the first few shots I took and posted on street where taken from behind--I worked my way up:) or forward I should say.
The main thing is you realized there was something here worth capturing--next you have to figure out how best to shoot it and compose it.
I do like this and I don't know how you could have improved it since you couldn't shoot it from the front.

I agree with Juano--when I said "next you have to figure out how best to shoot it and compose it" I meant in general when shooting street.

Again, I do like this one, it works. Just don't get stuck shooting from behind:)

I think this is a great shot as it is. The boy's face is visible and the shot from the back includes the pond as the background which gives the sense of calm that fishing entails. I don't that it would work as well if this was shot from the front.
    Nice job.

I think this shot works just fine from behind because you can see the boy's face and the body language of both indicates engagement in the moment together. It is a classic father/son memory in the making. The B&W conversion is terrific. Welcome to Street!
