Keyword search results -> no way to gallery

Hi everyone...

I've been doing some basic keyword search tests on smugmugs overall search engine. I find my images via the keywords perfectly but either I'm missing something (please tell me am but it appears that once my image(s) are found it provides no way to go to my site... only the image(s). Isn't there a way for someone to search smugmug for something, find one or more of my images, and from that image go to my homepage or the gallery it is contained in (which would provide links to my homepage)???

I can get to the gallery via either search or keywords, but they work differently.

Through search, once I click on an image, it automatically shows me the image in the gallery and the breadcrumbs on top of the page show you where you're at.

If I got to an image via keywords, under the image's description is a link that says "See photo in gallery".

I don't see any link that says "See photo in gallery"
I did a search for 'mark twain tigers', which found my galleries & images but to make it hard for it I narrowed the search to just 'twain' and found some of my images. Clicked on one of them and even the upper links show "keyword search results" which just takes you back to the search results.

OK, I see what you mean. From the page you link to above, I can also get to the gallery, but in a roundabout way. Just change the style at the top of the page to smugmug or smugmall small and the "see photo in gallery" appears below the image.

I also did a search using your terms without being logged in.

I then visually found the image you linked to above. Once I clicked on it, it took me to: http://www.smugmug.com/gallery/314940/1/12703525/Large. At the top of the page were the breadcrumbs Inspiring Designs > Sports, Action & School Related Photography! > Mark Twain Tigers > [url="http:///gallery/314940"]MTJH Basketball - 11/17/2004[/url]

AHHH... that worked... but I allmost always use style 'all thumbs' verses smugmug and encourage most of my customers to do the same....
The main reason I found this out was a customer told me she'd had the problem. I have a stat counter on my page and so checked there and noticed it showed 3 people not landing in my galleries when searching for specific terms I'd given them. They'd reached images but not the galleries.

Maybe smugmug can make it so that ALL styles provide those links back to the gallery. I hope so! HINT HINT!

I agree - all thumbs and traditional view should have more options (especially photo tools+share button, see my thread).

Plus I don't know why single picture view has less information on screen than smugmug style, even though there's much more space in it, because there's only one picture. Especially the missing "see photo in gallery" during keyword browsing is a problem.

Can we have a fix for this issues?
