Partially unlsited gallery

Hi all,
I know it's possible to create an unlisted gallery. I find this perfect for sharing photos with family/friends, as I just send them the link, and they click and can see the pictures, no password, etc. I like this because I'm uncomfortable posting pictures of friends/family to "the internet" in general, but would like them to be able to see pics of themselves.
BUT, some of the pictures in those galleries I would like to be publicly available. Is it possible to have a gallery with public images, accessible through the homepage, but if one accessed the site using the "unlisted" url, they would also get the "restricted" images as well (as part of the same gallery)? Or do I need to create two galleries, with the "public" pictures duplicated into a "public" gallery?
