All My Swans in a Row

Out with my camera to shake off the winter blues after last week's snowstorm and my heart skipped a beat when these swans started moving towards the darkest part of the water. I had to run along the shore line to catch up and ended up crashing through the slushy ice at the edge of the bay. But in my opinion, those wet feet were totally worth it! I only wish swan #3 would have kept his neck up!

Thank you kdog and jackie! Kdog, I did do some pp in Photoshop afterwards, but mainly I have to thank those swans for heading directly into that dark part of the water underneath that dark cloud. It was still fairly light out and although there were several other colonies of swans headed towards shore, they were barely noticeable against the bright and reflective ripples of the bay.

Beautiful image! It's very artistic and unusual--great catch and many thanks to the swans!
