I just went to google search and just typed my website "chrisfowlerphotography.net", everything looks good, and then I see this:

Chris Fowler Photography : Popular Photos : Downtown Jacksonville, Fl

Billions of happy photos, millions of passionate customers. Gorgeous online photo albums. Protect your priceless memories. Buy beautiful prints & gifts.

All of my other galleris have my correct meta data, etc except for my popular shotos section. Why is it using Smugmug's meta information and not mine??:scratch

    Hello,

This was a good catch - thanks! I fixed this and it should be going out with the next release - which should be tonight.

Google search issue-unlisted page in search link????
    Hi

Getting closer to finishing up my site (although it is a constant work--lots of help from this site)--I decided to do the same thing and google my site. When I did the following came up:

    Homepage slideshow - #1550361807 - E dela Pena Photography ...

    www.edelapenaphotography.com/Other/.../1550361807_jSwsVSr
Billions of happy photos, millions of passionate customers. Gorgeous online photo albums. Protect your priceless memories. Buy beautiful prints & gifts.

My unlisted gallery pops up! When you click on the link in google it takes you right to my unlisted slideshow gallery. If I am logged in and do a search on a different browser tab and click on the same link above I get the unlisted gallery and all the buttons and tabs to edit the gallery!! Any one can make the background changes when I am logged on.
How do I fix this issue? I wouldn't want someone messing around with my settings or my pics. Thanks so much in advance.

Please note that visitors cannot make changes to your site. You just get the owner tools because you are logged in as the account owner. If you log out of your site and view it as a visitor would, you won't be able to make changes.

In regards to the search result, it may be that the gallery in question was public at some point and was indexed by Google then. In that case, Google should update the index the next time it comes by your site. They should then remove the search result to reflect your current gallery settings. That can take a while.
That said, I wasn't able to find a direct link to your homepage slideshow gallery in Google, so Google may have already updated its index.

Thanks Sebastian. It was a little unsettling to potentially have someone with the ability to mess around with one's site. Will keep monitoring. Appreciate the reply.....

Unlisted galleries are only unlisted until they are published somewhere publicly. It's kinda like an unlisted phone number. Once you publish it somewhere, it can be found. thumb.gif
