Ordinary, or Unique?

Hi,

I got 2 photos that I like so far for this present theme:

One is for ordinary - actually my current entry - "Umbrella corner"

The second one would be for unique - and I'd call it "We're all different but some are more..."

Please tell me what you think, because I'm not sure which one to choose.

Thank you,
Tatiana - Seeing the world through my camera

I really like the first one...but I'd crop just a little off the top. I think that makes the diagonals of the umbrellas a little more pronounced, which gives the composition a little more energy. But that's just my taste, perhaps. It is a really good piece of work.

Really like the processing on both, but the first one grabs me - the colors, angles. I agree that the area in the upper right is a distraction - a little crop off the top would really focus on the umbrellas & add a lot to the comp.

I like the first shot as well and while it fits the ordinary theme, your processing makes it unique headscratch.gif (but I have a tendency to be too literal).

I like the first one, too. Usually I'm not a fan of the special effects processing, but here it really isolates the angles and lines, and reinforces the "ordinary" theme. Good stuff!

    Tatiana,

I like the first one for this challenge, too. But I'm also intrigued by the second one. Can't help wonder what it might look like as a straight b&w conversion. Both are worthy of clap.gif.

BTW, would you mind sharing your process/tools for the processing?

Thank you so much Bill :)

Yes, sure I can tell what I used in the coming days - I'm traveling in Germany (my husband has his business here)
and unfortunately right now I'm sick.

    all the best,
