I haven't been able to get back to the Jade Buddha (maybe today or tomorrow) for another try at capturing its unique beauty. In the meantime, I've been shooting a few playground shots at work.

Here are a couple of ideas for conveying the ordinary... Any thoughts?

oh man! I can't believe no one has commented yet.
I wanted to earlier but got sidetracked.
I love LOVE both of these. I think either one is a winner.

The way you shot the second one is just wow!
I wish I wasn't in quick reply because I would load this up with emoticons.

    Awesome job.

These are great and I am with 'whatshesaw' and favor the 2nd. Did you add glow in editing or get that from the light reflection? Now the swing-set pic I took today probably won't get uploaded, lol.

Thanks for the comments! I'm thinking the second one is best for the challenge.

The processing here was a combination of steps using Aperture and Nik filters. The original was quite a bit overexposed (on purpose, but maybe more than intended). The glow is from a vignette blur filter in Nik Silver Efex Pro. The light reflection is an artifact of shooting into the sun.

O great, I found one more thing to add to the wish list with the Nik Silver Efex Pro, lol. Thanks for reply. :-)

I like #2 as well, the lens flare almost gives it a more dramatic glow. :)
I love Nik Silver Efx, definitely cuts down on post-processing times.
I love the way you can save custom-settings on it for use on other images or re-used for images in a series! Great buy.
