Facebook likes should display thumbnail!

I have recently tried "Linking" several images on Smugmug using the Facebook Like button. I was disappointed to see that on my Facebook page it only shows the full URL to the image. This is very unappealing, and does nothing to get people on my Facebook page to see the Like and get interested in it.

Is there any way to have the Like button display a thumbnail of the image on the Facebook post?

Talk to Facebook. Seriously, this is all facebook functionality, nothing to do with Smugmug. All Smugmug does is embed FB code for Like. FB decides whether to display an icon with a like or not. I've heard rumors that if a ton of people like the same thing, it shows an image, but I've never seen it myself.
