I've gotten to know Pete via cyberspace and have purchased a couple of his street shots of the Toon taken in the mid 70's. He's scanned some of his old B&W work. He's just added another gallery to his site which has some terrific work. If you've got a minute, take a peak

I was not familiar with Pete Loud but I am glad you shared this link. I saw places and scenes familiar from my travels in England--it was a fun journey! I especially liked his shots of the butcher shots from 1972 and 2008 and the changes in pricing. Thanks for posting this.

Thanks for posting, Patti - There's some terrific stuff there - and it all provides a fascinating glimpse into a very different time and place.

Glad you enjoyed his work. I've got a print of this one from the Quayside Market hanging in my house. I just fell in love with it and can't stop looking at it. It's paired with my Station Rd Boys taken in Wallsend Dec '09.
