It seems everything in my world is ordinary, to me anyway, but I took some photos to see if anything might work. Do either of these fit this challenge? I could use some thoughts on them.
thanks......

Of these, I like Family tree better. Maybe try it in B&W.

I really like how that tree fills the frame. I think I prefer the black & white version.

Me, too! At least with mine.

I like the tree in BW because it is all about the lines of the tree's branches. The color distracts. Some sharpening and upping the contrast might improve it. I like the tree in general because of the flow of the branches from one corner into the rest of the frame. The negative space at the bottom right contributes.

The snow shovel is too ordinary. The center of interest is too bland. It might work better as an extreme crop on the snow covered cuffs. And I think there needs to be some separation between the shovel and the boot.

The clouds in the last one are not dramatic enough to carry the photo. They do not have much depth. I like the way you have captured the line of the clouds, diagonally and not quite corner to corner. Most people will not like the power lines. I think they can be OK depending on what your objective is with a particular photo.

This was a good exercise for me. Thanks!

I was thinking the same way as WhatSheSaw. Now I see you've see what she saw, too. I think the changes work well! It's always cool to see the positive impact of the conversations here. Kudos!
