Technically flawed, I do like the look and "attitude" of the eagle here, so I thought I'd share. Taken yesterday at Sheffield Mills, Nova Scotia.

The attitude is definitely menacing and the claws provide the weapons to make it happen. Is this part of the big eagle breakfast in NS?

    Eep!
I'd sure not want to be that seagull!
Is that blood on the snow?

    Great action shot! thumb.gif

How many photographers does it take to change a light bulb? 50. One to change the bulb, and forty-nine to say, "I could have done that better!"

Snowgirl: Yes, that was during this weekends "Eagle Day" up in Sheffield Mills. Swear I've never seen so many eagles in one spot before!

Lindiwe: Yes, that is indeed blood from the poultry remains they had put out as feed.

jwear, HarryB: Thank you both so much!

Your image depicts reality and evokes the instinct to look away from the frame. Looking at that eagle I have a sickening feeling knowing what is to become of that Sea Gull. I think this is an excellent shot. Why is it technically flawed ?

Where I get a lot of my eagle shot at the landfill there are a huge population of both eagles and sea gulls. The eagles definately enjoy the occasional sea gull as a snack.

Great title and perfect description you gave for the shot.
That is some "attitude" glad you decided to share it inspite of it's technical issues as you mentioned.

Sometimes a great photo, is what it is :).

Superb! Simply superb!!! Talk about the ULTIMATE "get outta my way or you're gonna regret it" attitude! LOVE the talons, the wings, the eyes, the stance, everything.

For those of us that are mature enough to remember the "NO FEAR" campaigns... this would be the PERFECT "No Fear" shirt!!!
    Blessings,
