2002 RSX: Light Painting Practice

Wanted to try out some light painting this weekend, so I tried it out in my garage after dark. Took multiple exposures of all the body panels and put them all together in post. I still need a lot of practice with it, but it was fun!

thanks! it's has a bit more glow than i would like, so i'm going to try and cut that down next time i try it.

I love the shot the way it is but I would have really like to have seen the interior lit up a bit more especially considering the way you put the shot together. Some lasers for "headlights" would be cool too.

I've got a K20Z3 m'self so I understand the enthusiasm.

I've been working on a re-edit tonight that implements more shading and shadows so that it looks more realistic. I'll post my progress on it tomorrow. I think it looks much better so far!

Here's what I'm working on from last night. There is no editing yet, which is why it's so dark and there are some rough spots. This is just with the images merged together straight from the camera and partially blended for shadowing. I'm trying to give it natural highlights and shadows so that it looks like an actual photo and not "CG-like". I think so far it's already head and shoulders above the last pic. I'll post the final once I'm done working on it.

here's what i've worked up so far. might make a few changes to it here and there, but overall i like it a lot and feel like i'm getting a much better grasp on the light painting process. hoping to try some more out this weekend!
