Love the play of light on the sand.

Good effort Peter. I thought that 3 & 4 would have looked much better if you could add some sky in the background.

Thanks for the feedback CCROY, my wife made the same comment!

I have been interested in posterizing shots and the effect of slicing a scene as shown, to pick up on the mood and colours...

I love the light and the subject on #1, but I think you need to get the subject out of the center of the frame. I also really like the rock formations, I think they are missing a pleasing composition and the light is flat.

I love the last three as a set. What a cool way to showcase the kind of variety you get in landscapes!

Thanks guys for the feedback, it's great to get some encouragement... I'm new to Dgrin contributions, and still very new to photography (looking at other people's work here I feel intimidated).

I will place some other efforts up shortly for comment, and keep working on my attempts, it's great fun capturing the moment.

Nice, I like the rocks, but think that the crop isn't the best for these shots.

The only way I can phrase it is that the slice looks out of context.

Maybe try cropping the plant and the sand so that the plant is lower to the left with the shade leading off to the right and or upper right.

The images and the subjects are however great!

Very nice series. I like your creativity shooting a tight shot of the grass in the strong sidelight.
