I wanted to try doing something a little different for the girls on my team so I told them i would take some shots (during our practice time Friday night) for them and then I made some pretend magazine covers. I been wanting to try this for a while so let me know what you think? Comments are welcome as to things to improve on next time.

Thanks,
Andy

Your photos are great. The magazine covers and team shot treatment need a lot more work. The fonts are bad and the text needs more pizazz, like stroke and drop shadow. Never use comic sans or any handwriting font on a mag. Try Futura and Impact for starters.

An "accurate" reproduction of a scene and a good photograph are often two different things.

I agree about the fonts, but the team shot is excellent. Love the angle and the lighting is excellent.

Thanks for the feedback. I have no clue about which fonts look best but i did notice some of the magazines at the grocery store and some of them had script type fonts but those were not sports mags.

Anyway - here is another shot using Impact fonts. Have not figured out the drop shadows yet in Photoshop text. This was a shot taken during a game so obviously different.
