    Great shot, Dixie. I like the layers of colors, from green and white in the top portion of the photo to the more vivid blue and orange below. And the old tree trunk in the bottom gives the photo the sense of depth. Really nice!

    Thank you Ana. The colors and their arrangement are exactly what caught my eye. Then it was just a matter of looking around until I found a way to show them that seemed interesting.

    I love Yellowstone. The contrast between caldera and forest is just amazing.

    Dixie,

    I like this shot a lot. The color and geometric patterns are great and you nailed the exposure. Contrast is good also. The only thing that doesn't seem right to me is that the trunk in the foreground seems a bit out of focus.

    Thanks to everyone for the comments. I agree that the focus is slightly soft on the tree stump. If I remember correctly my focus was on the orange strip just below the blue water. I probably should have stopped down 1-2 more stops.
