Or rather the saguaro. No really great light and a cloudless sky but it was a beautiful clear day. This looks best really large to see the detail. There really is lots to see in the desert. I was trying to process the second one to look like the photos my Dad used to take when we traveled through this country in the 60's; a typical tourist shot of an easterner seeing the desert for the first time.

I LOVE the processing and cropping on the second. I am a sucker for the vintage look but I still think that cropping the sky alone really brings out the cool shapes of the cacti.

Thanks schmoo... I am getting into the retro too - its fun. I LOVE cactus - they have such individualism!

Love your first shot, it really does have so much detail, looks like perfect exposure and that's without seeing it large.
