Really like #1 and 4. In one, though, wish you had swung a foot or two to your right to get in the entire dust pan, with a bit of space between it and building edge - would have made a stronger image.

#4, nice contrast between the dressed up smoker and the the informal backpack guy.

Good point about #1. It would look better that way. Thanks BD.

Really like #4 for the reason BD said. At first, I thought it was a reflection of the woman but couldn't figure out where she was. Then I realized it was a DC bus stop!

I'm a big fan of #3 and #4. In #3, the reflection is awesome. And in #4, at my first quarter second glance, I thought I was looking at another reflection (the glass threw me), but in the next quarter second, I saw that they were two very different people. I think it's the contrast of the two people that really pull me into that one.

Thanks Nyarthlopic. I was experimenting with reflections today. Those big swaths of light on the sidewalk were what called me to the shot. I'm glad you like them!

#5 is timely--it's the Egyptian flag, right? Hard to be sure in B&W lol3.gif

1 is my favorite by far, but I also like 2 and 4. I like the textures, lines and shadows. The tilt bothers me a bit in some of them. I think you could strengthen #2 by cropping off a bit of the bottom, which might make him seem less stuck to the top edge of the frame. A tighter crop on #1 anchored on the right edge would really make it sing. I'll send you an example.

    Very nice set. clap.gif

Thanks for the comments Richard. It is the Egyptian flag. The embassy was at the end of my walk by the subway station.
