The Flume Gorge in Lincoln, NH is very popular with these guys -

This girl was getting coaching from someone below. She tried to get onto the snow on top, but gave it up because she couldn't get a good hold with the axes. Looks like someone made it before her though.

    So were you in peril to get these shots? I like the second one, with the orange helmet and the ropes, plus all the vertical lines from the ice. Neat stuff!

    not really, I was on the other side of the gorge by a tree. Didn't want to move closer for the large gorge view because I couldn't tell where the rock ended under the snow exactly. 'tis a long way down.
