I've wanted to shoot these sea stacks for some time and finally made it to Rodeo Beach, Marin Headlands on Tuesday. The weather had been good all week and reports showed no fog for another few of days so the time right. I would love to have had some clouds, not sure why it is I can't buy a cloud when I want it but, we have all learned we work with what we have....and complaine later.

All comments and feedback welcome.

I think this is pretty good! The only critique I have is I would have liked to see more of the foreground and have the horizon higher instead of in the center. I will have to go check this place out myself!

Thanks rookie, I would have to switch to verticle to do that as I'm only about 2 feet from the foreground, I did take a bunch of verticle shots but really preferred the landscape shot with the inclusion of the rock to the left of the image for more balance

Looks quite nice to me, Doug.
I particularly enjoy the pinkish highlights on the water.
    Good work.

I think your planing shows here and it is a nice image. My only comment would be to see some detail in the rocks. Not total mind you just some.

I like the motion of the water and the rocks as sillouettes.

Great photo! I like the sunlight glistening off the waves. Color and composition is right on. The horizon is placed perfectly. The only crit I see is the rock that comes out of the left frame, a bit distracting to me, but doesn't really impact the photo in a negative way....the other rocks are so nicely framed.

Thanks Trey, I wish I had turned my camera a touch more to the left to pull in that entire rock as I had room to give on the right side, oh well got caught up in the moment.
    Well done Doug!

    Thanks Mike

Fantastic shot. The colors and motion in the water are great and I think the silhouetting of the stacks works very well.
