A friend stopped by with her new Australian Shepard and I was able to get a few snaps. Number 2 would have been my fav but I cut the poor pup's nose oh well. Still fun little shoot.

I've always thought dogs with some degree of Heterochromia are interesting looking. Nice shots overall, which lens did you use for this?

Thanks for the comment. She sure is a cute little fur ball.

I used the 70-200L 2.8 IS II on my 7D. It was a little tight for the lens and I should have used my 17-55 2.8...but, hey, I still like the newness of my 70-200 so I will be using even when I shouldn't! rolleyes1.gif

I'm the same way :D I just recently got my 55-200mm f/4.0-5.6 DI-II LD and it's newer in production date and glass tech than my other two lenses, so makes prettier shots, So i find myself wanting to use it all the time now even when i shouldn't be sometimes, i know how you feel mwink.gif

Looks like a sweet pup. Love the different colored eyes. He/she a beauty. What's the pups name?

I like all the shots. The dogs owner would love these printed up.

I agree - they're really nice shots and, like you, #2 is my favourite (except for the chopped nose - pity).

Aussies are TOO much fun (can you tell I have one?) and total hams when you bring out a camera.

Good, crisp shots of the little one's expressive face.clap.gif

Her name is Sparta. Our friend brought her by to play with our dogs and socialize her a bit. She is only 10 weeks old. I might have to get her back over and try shot 2 again without a cut off nose.

Beautiful name ... yes take more photos of her. We'd love to watch her grow.
