1st time poster but a long time lurker here.

I'm in the process of trying to change the look and feel of my site wo will be mining and bugging the people in the site customization section - but thought I'd throw in a quick intro and some pics here.

I primarily shoot alternative and fetish fashions as a portrait/people shooter with an aim to show fetish does NOT automatically = kinky porn ...... and think I've been doing that pretty successfully.

I also shoot "regular" portraits and dabble in the odd wedding here and there and also love abstract and macro.

So here goes, some of my stuff below and a big "G'day from Western Australia".

Cheers,

Wayne.

OK... I think I'm getting my wife one of those cat suits, like in the 3rd photo.

Some fetishes here I was unaware of - old tv squatting in the surf at sunset??!! There's nothing like a stimulated imagination! Is imagination a fetish? And what is a bikini an alternative fashion to?!eek7.gifD

For an aficionado mag/audience these are great.thumb.gif Love the backyard one! Oh how subversive suburbia is when you scratch the surface! There is a strong journalistic-documentary feel to these images, which is very successful. Are you intending to stay there?

As it so happens - nearly all of the latex in those pics is from my collection, including that catsuit. Up until recently I'd guess I've spent nearly as much $$ on clothing and props as I have on camera gear ... though the latest purchase swung the balance in favour of the camera gear for a very long time.

As for wives ..... mine's somewhere in that last pic ... conned her into being a part of that shoot and getting all dolled up in rubber.

lol - I did mention I dabble in "regular" fashions as well ... so the bikini shot was from a regular swimsuit styled shoot, but after seeing the TV on the verge being thrown out with the rubbish .... we just had to grab it and use it for something different to add to the shoot.

As I mentioned in the origianal post - One of my main aims is to show that fetish doesn't automatically = kinky porn, so a semi-documentary, slice of life style has crept in over the past few years and fetish in public or everyday situations is now a staple of mine, so nice to read your opinion and that the images came across that way.

Hoping to hang around in here for a while, looks like a decent bunch of people from what I've seen so far.

    Ta :)

Forgot to put in there the gear if anyone is interested - bit of a mix of Pentax gear used.

First 4 images are from a Pentax K100D and a mix of strobes and/or natural light
5th shot is from a Pentax 645D, natural light only
6th shot is from a Pentax K20D, strobes balanced with the clubs lighting.

    Alex,

Buying her the suite is one thing, getter her to put it on very different. Good news is she would fit in it and look great.

Now the tricky part................taking a photo of her in the suite. :D

You mentioned she doesn't touch alcohol. Did you pick up any of those San Francisco brownies baked for medicinal purposes?

    Warped,
I like the first one and who wouldn't like cat woman?

I am torn on the bikini shot. While very nice technically, she looks like she is 13 years old.

It looks like these are fun photo shots. keep up the good work.

Oh... I have no doubt she'd wear it and I don't think she'd mind me photographing her in it either. Now I just need to find one. I think this is going to be this year's Halloween costume. I may go as Batman or some other character.

Been checking the internet but haven't found one she likes. This is the one I showed her but she didn't like it as much as I do:

Getting a bit off topic - but this is an area of expertise for me. Currenlty there's 7 latex catsuits in my collection of clothing/props as well as a dozen or more lycra/pvc ones.

For the authentic look you need latex - anything else won't look as nice and you can't get that "2nd skin" look. Good latex isn't cheap though, a decently made, good quality basic catsuit will set you back around $300+ and you'll want handmade/glued latex, not the cheap moulded stuff.

Sometimes you can find a cheap seller on e-bay, but they can be hit and miss. Some will be fantastic, others will still be working the kinks out and won't have their process down pat yet - so don't be surprised if the glue seams come apart the first time someone tries to put the suit on (has happened to me a few times).

If it's just a one-off for a party, Chinese stuff can be worth a try and it's cheap - but the rubber/latex is horrible - basically it's thicker balloon rubber and smells different, feels different and doesn't shine up as well.

Then there's looking after your rubber as well as getting into it in the first place, and getting up too speed on what powders and lubes work and what will kill the latex. NEVER use anything oil/petroleum based, it'll turn the latex to mush, only use water and silicone based oils and lubes for making it slippery to get into and shining it up.

@ Sam - you're not the first to think she looks young, but she was 20 on the day of that shot.
This is the same model 6 months later
