Just finished my 2nd IM rotation where they worked me like a rented mule and am now on the tail end of my vacation week. My original plan consisted of surfing in the am and shooting in the evening with a bit of napping and drinking intermixed between the two....Mother nature had other ideas with this week's rain.

Today marked the first day of shooting this week--come with me on a R&R trip to Bolsa!

First the reason why I'm not surfing until Sat at least

first one to greet me was our old friend Scar the coyote





The osprey teased a bit early on







The pelicans were trying to be a bit more cooperative



And the gull volunteered for some in flight face time as well



A lazy tern



On my return trip I was given the chance to get closer to the osprey and even sit in on a meal













Now if I could only get 'Gus to remove those wires for me...

I was trying out a new UV filter today so please tell me if you see a huge drop in quality or anything nasty (besides the table manners of my pal here).

that is funny Ben and I have the same shot of the osprey looking at you we shot it at the same time and scar and i had breakfast one day but the osprey eating is great -top of the hill next to my tree and in front of the big pine -very good work doc he knew you was a doc -he saw those dead fish and was worried he might need help
