Hey guys, I'm Olly, and I've recently found that I adore shooting street I wanted to learn more and have a few discussions about the subject, which is when i found your forum here. I'll be lurking around for a fair bit, and I'm very much a beginner, but i figured I could drop a few of my images here and hopefully get some C&C.
Everything is taken with a D3000 + standard lens. Entry level I know, but I am just a poor empoverished student :P
Cheers guys, look forward to chatting with you all.

I like 2, 4 and 6. No, it has nothing to do with them all being even numbers. With #2, the little girl in the front part of the stroller, you can see that she wants to lean forward and pet the puppy. Made me smile. #4 is very scenic, and I think you did a fantastic job with the conversion. You managed to capture the architecture beautifully, but it's the gentleman on the right that really pulls it together. And with number 6, I've always had a soft spot for this kind of shot. I've always liked a shot of two people leaning into each other when taken from behind. To me, that always feels more private.
And don't worry about the 'basic' equipment. As BD says (and I happen to agree with him), the most important thing is what's behind the camera, not the camera itself.
One piece of advice for posting: if you could number your shots, that really helps those of us who like to comment. In my case, I always try to pick out my favorite(s) and tell you why I like them. It's a little easier with numbered pics.
