I see both pics and out of both I like #1, I don't think the treatment in #2 works.

Great concept--I hope that's milkshake inside that cup

#1 .... and now I guess I am going to have to have a burger and fries for lunch.
When I see food, I guess I want to see it in full color. The treatment in #2 just doesn't make me want it.

I like #1 better but the color of the hamburger is way off.

I think it's too orange. I like the texture that you used on #2, it just doesn't work on that particular shot.

I was going to say the same thing!
Then I thought "maybe he likes his burgers charred".

The color on the burger is pretty accurate. They do look charred, but taste soooooo good!
